The rep season is well underway with our 1-5Y Bowls3Five and Auckland 6s squads competing over the last month or so. No finals this time but some close and well-fought games. Hosting a round in the 6s- featuring our own Kōtare Blue squad- a few weekends back was a highlight (pics below). Proud to have Auckland Centre events back at Rocky Nook Bowls after many decades. Thanks to all the members who assisted with running this event, as well as Glen Eden Bowling Club.

Our first club tournament- Club Handicap Pairs- is on this Sunday and entries close Friday evening.

And Gerald Brouwers (picture above) represented Rocky Nook in the NZ Blind Lawn Bowls Association Nationals in Christchurch last weekend, achieving 3rd place in the Pairs. Whakamihi, Gerald!

one more thing…
No Friday evening pay-to-play this week due to the weather forecast and competition from a certain event at Eden Park, but A Green- and the AIC bar- will be open to members and their guests.
